Client: Manitoba Infrastructure and Transportation (MIT) Location: Winnipeg, Manitoba Type of Contract: - Bid-build Year of completion: 2021 Project Overview: This project involved reconstructing median barriers along PTH 100 and was the first barrier of its size in Manitoba. To accomplish the barrier reconstruction, we ordered a custom mold and reinforcing feeder, then brought in consultants to pre-test and meticulously fine-tune the concrete mix, mold, and vibration techniques to ensure optimal results before their placement. Planning and collaboration with Manitoba Transportation and Infrastructure ensured project success, while nighttime operations were mandated to complete the work on schedule. Completed in 2020, this project laid the groundwork for further installations in 2021, and showcased Bayview’s innovative approach and execution.
