Job Title: CONSTRUCTION SURVEYOR
Location: Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
Position Type: Full-time
Bayview Group, a leading heavy civil construction company in Winnipeg, Manitoba, is seeking an experienced Construction Surveyor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience and possess a strong skill set in surveying, city specifications, and the operation of Trimble survey equipment.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Surveyor.
- In-depth knowledge of city of Winnipeg specifications and regulations.
- Proficiency in operating Trimble survey equipment.
- Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in AutoCAD for survey data interpretation and mapping.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in the construction industry (estimating experience is an asset).
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct surveys and provide accurate measurements to ensure compliance with city of Winnipeg specifications.
- Utilize Trimble survey equipment to perform precise measurements and data collection.
- Collaborate with project teams to support construction layout and ensure accurate placement of structures and infrastructure.
- Independently perform surveying tasks and demonstrate the ability to work well both alone and as part of a team.
- Use AutoCAD to generate and interpret survey data, maps, and drawings.
- Maintain and calibrate survey equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and other team members to relay surveying information and address any concerns.
- Assist in Machine Control calibration, set-up, quality control, and troubleshooting.
